LISTEN TO MY STORY…

Hi! My name is Dina Joy. I’m a wife, a mother, a friend, a sister, a daughter and nature lover.

For decades before my accident in 2018, I’d been a respected mindful living guide for women across the country. Now I happen to live with the effects of post traumatic stress disorder, multiple & consecutive traumatic brain injuries as well as debilitating hyperacusis. So I know it’s difficult to live with an invisible chronic condition, but I also know it doesn’t have to define us.

After being diagnosed with a TBI/PTSD and having seizures daily, I’d made the informed decision to take a healing path that many don’t follow. One that is VERY alternative and far from what many would think of as effective medical help in this day and age. I’ve traveled the allopathic medial route, and it was helpful when it came to emergencies, but traumatizing and ineffective for me beyond that. So my healing path has been a more intuitive, more ancient and traditional path that has centuries of evidence in it’s effectiveness. And yet a path that isn’t for everyone.

But for me, this path I’ve chosen has been exactly what I’ve needed. For me, trusting my inner wisdom has helped me move forwards in a way that honored my unique needs, my boundaries and my innate ability to cultivate healing. Which has been highly beneficial and the proof of it’s effectiveness has been my steady progress.

Trusting my inner wisdom helped me reframe my story, let all the parts of me have their say, and retell it in a more empowering way. It’s led me to healing modalities I never knew about before, taught me about deeper healing in a wholistic way. Far beyond I what I was taught in school when I studied to be a doctor of natural health.

For me, Mindful & Intuitive Storytelling has been an essential part of a wholistic healing practice that has been naturally inclusive of physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual bodies that needed balance and healing. And every story I write reflects this and more.

  • I believe each of us has a story. We are unique, organic and beautiful beings who deserve to be respected, nurtured, and listened to…especially from the wisdom within ourselves.
  • I believe mindfully living with an invisible chronic condition or disability can help us cultivate a more simplified lifestyle that offers whole person healing & genuine contentment within ourselves.
  • I believe in the healing power of mindfulness and Mother Nature. I have personally experienced their therapeutic benefits throughout my life. But never more than now, which is why I share my insights and mindful healing stories with you.

What Inspired You To Be A Mindful Healing Storyteller?

My own life experiences taught me how powerful inner storytelling can be in the healing process, and how much easier is is to make changes after listening to an inspiring story rather than direct instruction.

What Are Mindful Healing Stories?

Mindful Healing Stories are exactly what it sounds like. Stories that entertain your conscious mind and soothe your nervous system, while the characters and words in the story offer inspiration for deeper healing to the part of your mind that influences most of our habits, decisions, choices and thoughts.

Do You Offer 1-1 Coaching?

I offer hand-in-hand guidance based on dāna. Dāna (pronounced “daa-nuh”) is a Pāli word meaning giving. Your monetary gift (donation) balances the exchange of energy between us, creates connection, teaches letting go and helps me support my family, while not depleting your own resources.
